Directions
By S-Bahn (train):
Go till Parkstraße. When you get down the stairs, turn left to leave the station. Go straight ahead along Arno-Holz-Straße. On the left side of the street behind the parking lot you will find the faculty building (red brick building).
By Straßenbahn (tram):
Coming from the city-centre you may
1. either take tram-line 6 (direction ‘Neuer Friedhof) until the stop ‘Parkstraße’. (Note: This station is divided into two stops. Take the first stop, otherwise the second one and walk 100 meters back.),
2. or take tram-line 5 (direction ‘Mecklenburger Allee’) and leave at ‘Doberaner Platz’. Change either to bus No. 24 (direction ‘Markt Reutershagen’) or to bus No. 25 (direction ‘Thomas-Morus-Straße’) until the bus & tram stop ‘Parkstraße’.
The stop ‘Parkstraße’ is under a railway bridge and next to an S-Bahn entrance. Pass by that S-Bahn entrance right hand side, walk into ‘Arno-Holz Straße’, and left-hand you will already see the faculty-building (red brick building).
By bus:
Take the 24 or 25 till the stop Parkstraße. (Note: This station is divided into two stops. The bus will only stop, if there is someone waiting at the station or if one of the passengers has pressed the red stop button. If you come from main railway station, take the first stop, otherwise the second one.) You exit the bus under a railway bridge. If you don't com from main railway station, cross the tram rails. Leave to the right side of the bridge, then follow your nose into Arno-Holz-Straße. On the left side of the street behind the parking lot you will find the faculty building (red brick building).
By car coming from northwest (Bad Doberan):
You pass the Ostseepark shopping mall in Sievershagen. Go straight through the road bridge ahead towards Zentrum. You are now on Hamburger Straße. Keep straight on following the high street. A few hundred meters after the railway bridge (at Holbeinplatz), turn right into Maßmannstraße. Go straight ahead until the end of the high street which then bends off into Ulmenstraße. After about 500m, you will see the faculty's red brick building on the right side.
By car coming from southwest (Satow):
You drive on Saatower Straße and pass the JET petrol station, then a pedestrian traffic light. At the next traffic lights (near the OPEL dealer) get onto the ahead lane (slight turn left). Cross the railway crossing and follow the high street into a left-right turn. Now you are on Parkstraße. Keep going ahead and drive through the railway bridge. After this bridge, take the second side street to the left (Kiebitzberg). At this corner, there is a pharmacy, oppositely a SCHLECKER market. Go ahead about 100m, then turn left into Ulmenstraße. After about 250m, you will see the faculty's red brick building on the left side.
By car coming from southeast (Autobahn exit Rostock Süd):
Keep going into western direction for about 3.5km. Then the street takes a considerable turn left and your lane splits into four. Pick one of the straight-on lanes and pass the crossing (at the Steintor). Keep going ahead until the street leads clearly downhill. You are at the next bigger crossing now (Am Vögenteich), which you pass straight ahead. Follow the street's right-left bend. At your left there is a park now (Lindenpark), the street is called Friedhofsweg. At the next large crossing (Saarplatz) turn right into Ulmenstraße. After about 400m, you will see the faculty's red brick building on the left side.
By car coming from northeast (Autobahn exit Rostock Ost):
Go straight ahead along the high street into western direction. You cross the Warnow. The street is called Am Strande. At your left, there is the city centre. Keep going ahead. At your right, there is the city port Stadthafen. Meanwhile, the street is called Warnowufer. After passing an elf petrol station, the street takes a slight turn right and is now called Lübecker Straße. Pick the left lane and turn at the traffic lights crossing from the Lübecker Straße left into the Massmannstraße. Go straight ahead until the end of the high street which then bends off into Ulmenstraße. After about 500m, you will see the faculty's red brick building on the right side.
