HIE-RO targets new cooperation with University of Rostock and University of Technology Szczecin
The Faculty of Maritime Technology and Transport of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin; the University of Rostock and the Hanseatic Institute for Entrepreneurship and Regional Development at the University of Rostock signed a joint Letter of Intent on the 6th November, 2015.
The purpose of this cooperation is the collaboration and mutual support in respect of the development of enlarging the region of LNG supply in the southern Baltic rim. The cooperation focuses the perspectives of the LNG market development; the possibilities of increasing the efficiency of LNG supply chains and last, but not least, targets relating to LNG hub performance.
The main objectives of the letter of intent also include: establishing a cooperation framework for joint initiatives in science and research work, studies, pilot schemes or joint projects destined to respond in an effective and flexible manner to cooperation objectives arising from developments in the bilateral relationship; the preparation of the documentation for the previously mentioned project proposals and the cooperation concerning the field of research and science.
The University of Technology is represented by Prof. Maciej Taczala, Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Technology and Transport; the University of Rostock is represented by the Prorector for Studies, Teaching and Evaluation and the Hanseatic Institute for Entrepreneurship and Regional Development at the University of Rostock is represented by Pawel Warszycki, the Executive Director of the Institute.
